Buying my first car after having company cars for over 30 years could have been a daunting prospect. Steve Lane Cars came highly recommended and once I'd decided on the make and model I wanted Steve made it very easy, sending me some great options for me to consider. When I met Steve to take a test drive he was really friendly and helpful. The car was immaculate and once I decided to go ahead, Steve had the car prepared and there was a nice touch of a hamper in the car when I collected it. I'm really pleased with the whole experience and would definitely recommend Steve Lane Cars to anyone in the future.

Purchased a car from Harry and Steve. Great communication throughout the process and happy to arrange test drives etc. Car was priced competitively, we had a decent PX price with no haggling. They were happy to address any issues, including replacing 2 tyres, some body work bits, 2 wheel trims and even included 6 months road tax. Easy collection and payment process, car was fully charged and even presented us with a hamper on the day. Would happy recommend them, both very genuine - and certainly infinitely better sales service than offered by various main dealers we tried!

Steve Lane Cars are in our opinion, one of the best used car dealerships we have ever encountered! From the initial telephone enquiry and the first time we stepped foot on their forecourt both Steve and Harry have been warm, honest, understanding and considerate as to our requirements in a car. Their customers service is second to none! We were both treated with equal respect and trust and any minor imperfections in the car were sorted without fuss. They only stock quality cars and as such, have confidence in selling them. We agreed the sale price but as our circumstances changed we were not able to collect the car on the given day so they even delivered it to our door! Everything went really smoothly and the gift basket was a real bonus.
All in all, we could not rate Steve Lane Cars any higher and would 100% recommend anyone looking for a quality used vehicle, give them a call. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely superb from start to finish. I bought a second hand L322 Range Rover from Steve Lane Cars a few months ago. From the first phone call with Harry all the way to collecting the car, the process was faultless. His attention to detail from providing the detailed history of the car to having it serviced and ready for collection far exceeded my expectations. Like any second hand car a couple of things decided to stop working due to the natural ageing process and they were rectified immediately. Their guarantee and promise of excellent customer service is absolutely the truth. They only source cars they would drive themselves. To this day it is the best car I have owned. What can I say ,I had been looking for a specific spec of BMW X4 for a few months. Seen plenty at BMW garages found one and went to buy it only to be told one way there someone came in and bought it. I seen this on auto trader and dropped them a line, within half hour had a reply sent in my details and they got in touch ,spoke to a lovely guy Called Harry (Steveâ€â„¢s son) told him that I was interested in the x4 on there site and could I come see it. Harry couldnâ€â„¢t have been any better he gave me all info on the car ,the history and service history and condition ,sent me a video and I knew I wanted it straight away. Put a deposit down spoke to Steve came to a great deal for my part ex and bought my x4. These guys are honest ,nice family run business I canâ€â„¢t praise them enough. Really highly recommend this place. Harry was a pleasure to deal with over the phone as we worked out a deal and Steve just as friendly and helpful when I came in to pick the car up. Difference with these guys compared to the giant car supermarkets is they understand that it's a big decision when your spending this much cash and so you want that customer service and those personal touches that as a buyer just make the experience that much better. The car itself is stunning and handed over in absolutely top condition. When it's time for an upgrade I will be back.

As someone that has worked in the motor trade for over 15 years in high end luxury. I can most definitely say that these guys are epic! Amazing customer service and attention to detail is second and none. Whilst I was buying this car, I was very busy with work so advise that WhatsApp was my best method of communication. They were more than happy to accommodate this way. I managed to get the whole transaction complete in one day. I have to wait a few days to like to collect the car but I was kept fully up to speed with what was going on. Exactly what they said I could not be happier with my new vehicle. Testimonial :I highly recommend Steve Lane cars to anyone wishing to purchase a car. Steve and his son Harry were both very friendly and helpful when I recently looked to purchase a car from them. They were constantly in contact and would reply to any queries I had promptly. They offered me a very fair and competitive part exchange trade in price for my vehicle and arranged to deliver the new vehicle and collect mine at the same time without a charge or fee like most other dealerships add on. They identified a small fault with the vehicle which developed just prior to being delivered to me and told me about it straight away saying they would need to get this rectified to make sure the car was perfect for me. Steve even offered to return my deposit and give me an extra £100 on top as a gesture of good will. The fault was rectified however, owing to a short timeframe with us going away and needing a towbar fitted (all were fully booked) I needed to keep hold of my vehicle for longer and didn\'t want to keep the guys waiting any longer when they could potentially sell the car to someone else so regrettably I didn\'t go through with the purchase. This is no reflection on Steve Lane cars however, and no fault of their own, just bad timing all round. What I would say is they are genuine and honest people and obviously pride themselves on that and their reputation as well as having high quality cars for sale. The reviews and testimonials speak for themselves and I would have no hesitation in future dealing with them again. I wish them all the best

I have never left a review for anything before in my life but I feel compelled to after recently dealing with Steve & Harry for the first time. I can only say that the experience was an absolute pleasure with no hard sell or pressure being bought to bear. It was after dark when I arrived & took the car for a test drive, I said I would come back the following day to have a look at it in the daylight. Harry suggested he put in the workshop so I could see it in the light & must have moved half a dozen vehicles so I could have a good look around it. What a fantastic service & needless to say I bought it. If you are in the market for changing your car I can\'t recommend them enough, I will definitely be using them again in the future, cheers gents.

Just to tell everyone about Steve and his son Harry. I have just got my 4th car from Steve. I wanted to keep my Mercedes SLK in white as it was a perfect car as always and is for sale now by him for the following reasons. I had the car 9 months and only did 1k miles because i had a spinal decompression injury that needed major surgery therefore could not get in and out of car without pain. I kept looking at what he had for sale and saw a Mercedes E Class convertible great car blue with blue roof and white leather. I sent a cheeky e mail saying straight swap because of injury and 10 mths off work. Later that day great e mail off Steve saying yes as it was his wifes car. Said pick it up tomorrow after service valet and MOT. Got there met Steve and son i felt like the cat that had got the cream because an advisory came up saying 2 new rear tyres needed soon and he said 2 new ones put on for me free of charge. 5 star service and beyond as a hamper on passenger seat for my partner Kim and enough fuel in tank to get home and more as i live 55 miles away mainly motorway. Will never go anywhere else a caring father and son that help people as well as running a business. Car was valeted to showroom new finish when i picked it up. My first dealing with Steve Lane cars was back in 2015. Since then, myself, my family and friends have probably had in excess of 20 vehicles. The cars Steve sells are of the highest quality and the service you receive from Steve, Harry and Luke is on another level, nothing is ever to much trouble. If Steve hasn't got the car you want, go and see him and he will source one for you. Overall, an excellent garage to deal with, I certainly wouldn't go anywhere else.

Just picked up my Ford Connect van from Steve Lane cars Ltd. I must say their service is second to none. I made a comment that the Ford badges always look a bit shabby after a few years and low and behold when I picked up the van they had replaced the badge. I asked the question if the vehicle came with a Jack and they went out to Halfords and purchased a brand new Bottle jack and wheel key. Most dealers give you a month or three month warranty at the most on second hand cars, but they surprisingly give six months. And to top it off, the day I arrived to pick up the van they presented me with a basket of wine sweets and biscuits. These guys are the dogs B------S. Why can't all used car dealers be like this?
I made an appointment to test drive a Porsche Boxster S at short notice on a Sunday and was met by Harry who had helpfully parked the car in the shade. He showed me around the car and we went through the service history and it was exactly as described. After the test drive I pointed out a few minor issues with the car which he said would be rectified before any sale.
The next day i visited Zuffenhsus the local Porsche Specialist to get their opinion. The Boxster was there and Steve Lane had just had the minor issues fixed at a cost of around £400!
I really wanted to deal with SL cars, the only reason I didn't buy the Porsche was the silver colour. Eventhough I'm not a customer - yet. I would highly recommend Steve Lane Cars.

Having bought a Mercedes E Class convertible 3yrs ago from Steve i thought i would change. Having always looking at what he had for sale i wanted the red Jaguar XF Sports in red 2015. I informed at 4 30am after work and drove that afternoon to view. Car was great and gave me great part x. Could not find a Jag this good with mileage history and price etc anywhere on Autotrader. Week later picked it up with full valet 12mths MOT and new discs and pads. Asked where nearest fuel station was he told me forget it he had filled it to get me home plus more. Then a hamper on passenger seat and flowers for girlfriend. Nobody else does this and he will always keep in touch as friend and help if needed. The car industry needs more people like this. Will never go anywhere else.

We recently bought a car from Steve Lane Cars while at the same time trading in our old one and would like to say what an easy process Steve made sure it all was.
PCP calculations, Log books, Car Tax, and Personalised Number Plates we're all dealt with at quite an anxious time that changing your car can be. A nice touch too was a Gift Basket that came with our newly bought car that was delivered to our door.

I have just taken delivery of a Maserati Quattroporte from Steve Lane Cars. It was the best buying experience I have had in 50 years of motoring. Steve has a professional yet relaxed style which takes the stress out of buying. The sales process was straight forward with an offered pre-delivery set of tasks all of which were completed in time for the promised free delivery date to my home 100 miles away. Thank you Steve.

It was a real pleasure to deal with Steve for the first time. I exchanged my Maserati Quattroporte with a newer model. Communication with Steve was superb throughout, and he made the process extremely easy. Both cars were priced fairly and our agreement was made within less than 5 minutes!

He arranged to fully service the new car, arrange MOT, pay the road tax and changed the number plates to my cherished number plate. He also kindly delivered the car to my home in central London at a convenient time, and collected my old car.

It is fair to say that the service I received from Steve was the best that I have ever had when exchanging my car over the last 30 years, and I would highly recommend him.

I had previously heard great things about Steve lane cars and knew that he was was highly recommended.
I recently went in with my mom to take a look at a BMW X1 and I was sold as soon as I saw it. It was in immaculate condition and Steve was beyond helpful. I had never driven an automatic before and was very nervous.

My daughter and I travelled from Huddersfield for her dream car. Excellent customer service throughout. When we got home on very close inspection we noticed that the paintwork was peeling on the drivers door and the rear wash wipe did not work. Following conversation between myself and Steve we were told to get the work done and he would pay the bill. Within the same day of receiving the bill it was paid directly into my bank account as promised. Steve is a reputable trader. I have just brought my dream Jaguar XJ from him and his service was unparallel. I turned down another Jag just to buy this one as I loved the car and loved the service. Will definitely be doing business again with other family cars. What a great experience.

I really feel your service has been exceptional when selling me the Audi. I have to say I was nervous about not buying a second hand car from an Audi dealer. I couldn't find one to be honest but then I saw the one you had. From the moment I met you I thought and hoped it would be ok. Admittedly there were a few problems with the car post sale but you did everything you said you would. Nothing was a problem and you even picked the car up when I went on holiday and brought it back. I hope someone reads this if they are as nervous as I was about not buying from an Audi approved dealer. Thank you!!
